EAR WASH
Ear washing is a simple technique, which allows to clean the earwax from the ear canals. It is a technique accessible anywhere in the world. All you need is an otoscope, a large capacity syringe, and some knowledge.
First of all, we need to know what we are seeing through the otoscope. You need your learning and your technique. It is not worth inventing anything.
Second, we must know the type of earwax and if the patient has previous ear pathologies, such as acute or chronic otitis.
Third, the drops are not good. Not the oil, not the hydrogen peroxide or anything at all.
These practices cause pain in patients, wounds, infections and even tympanic perforations.
